Scissors have a habit of disappearing into drawers precisely because you don't want to leave the blades lying around. These were designed around a different solution.
A magnetic aluminum base holds the scissors upright between uses, giving them a permanent place on your desk instead of somewhere out of sight.
The result is simple: the scissors stay where you expect them, while their resting place becomes part of the desk rather than something you need to hide.
Set the scissors back onto the magnetic base when you're finished, and they return to the same upright position — no drawer to search through, no loose blades left across the desk. Kept in view instead of put away, they're already in reach the next time something needs cutting, so using them stops being a small errand and starts being just a reach across the desk.
Flip the scissors around, and the top of the handle becomes a box cutter. The same tool that trims and cuts also opens what arrives at your door, without a second blade to keep track of.
The scissors are made from Japanese stainless steel with a Teflon coating. Their solid weight gives them a substantial feel in hand as you cut.
The base is milled from aluminum and designed to present the scissors vertically between uses. Together, the two pieces read as one desk object rather than a tool and somewhere to store it.
Reach for them when a package arrives. Make the cut, then return them to the base. The scissors are no longer something you have to remember where you put.
They become part of the desk itself, always in the same place and ready for whatever needs cutting next.
